User's notes

This is the same plant which was identified as Callery Pear in autumn, see https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4499775 However having looked at https://extension.psu.edu/callery-pear-accurate-identification#:~:text=To%20identify%20Callery%20pear%20look,of%20clusters%20of%20hard%20fruits. I don't think it is the Callery pear. So I am suggesting it may be a Prunus. There was no sign of any flowers or fruits. Cut and dabbed with glyphosate and mapped in FieldMaps treated as a woody weed.

Looks okay to me, immature leaves are a bit different than adult leaves but do look right here

Hi
Do you think this was planted deliberately, or sown by seed dispersal, or grown from a sucker?

What environment was it growing in?

Thanks
Kate

Seed dispersal, growing in box-gum grassy woodland.

This one specimen is older than those we encounter in the reserve east of the Fair in the past 3 years. Also it seems a different cultivar compared to those planted as The Fair street trees that invade the reserve east of The Fair. Certainly not planted! The occurrence under big eucalyptus tree indicates bird dropping.
