Could this be Helicoverpa Punctigera. The Helicoverpa Armigera is distinguished from H. Punctigera by presence of pale area in dark outer band of hind wing, cited by Naturemapr at top of Armigera sightings page. Record 4422279 demonstrates this well. My photos are not nearly as crisp but I think the feature photo appears not to have a similar patch and looks more like H Punctigera photos.

I could find no good match in the 40 Lobesia species illustrated on BOLD, but there seem to be plenty as yet unnamed.

This one looks subtly different to Cryptocheilus sp. In the interim I might move this one back to Family-level.

Pompilidae (family)

The pair of hair pencils behind the head suggest either Arctiinae or Lymantriinae. The absence of dorsal organs on the penultimate two segments appears to rule out Lymantriidae, but Nyctemera species usually feed on Asteraceae, not Mimosaceae. Bit of a puzzle.

Nyctemera (genus)
