Yes both may occur in the same area .
A while ago Stylidium armeria subsp. armeria was included in a loosely broad taxonomic concept of S. graminifolium .
I have added the relevant information to the species pages here in NatureMapr, hence see:
• Stylidium armeria subsp. armeria

• and so on such as Stylidium montanum .
