Yes, but where is the type specimen ? There is no indication that is a drawing of the type specimen. That British Museum specimen may be misidentified. The book it came from is dated 1900. If I am reading this correctly Turner named it in 1905.

I have compared the fruit with Acer palmatum (which I have plenty of) and see that the 'individual stalks' are hidden inside pairs of seeds until they ripen and separate. Angle between seeds is close to 180 degrees, so not a V-shape.
