I has fairly broad leaves so Poa helmsii seems a reasonable suggestion. Other commonly planted Poas include P. labillardierei.

I'm not confident enough to call this R. pallidum. The plants look to be on the small side for R. pallidum so I suspect this is a different species.

Hi Liam.m unfortunately we didn't get any photos of the sighting, we were driving and pulled over to look but they flew on, we followed them on foot but they moved on again once we were close. Two of us saw them though.
