I had only my phone to take a photo, so unfortunately, I could not take a good photo to read the number. If I have another chance to see with my camera, I will try to take a better one.
Hi @KumikoCallaway, it is one of the ACT Government fertility control research animals. Presumably it has moved from the site where it was treated. There are many sites. Do any of the original images allow you to read the number on the collar or the one on the ear tag? They uniquely identify the animal. I will pass your sighting to the researcher in case they need to follow it up.
@MichaelBedingfield keen to hear your thoughts on this but I would have guessed this is a Whiptail Wallaby based on the white flanks and between the ears.
