Even if the trees came from CSIRO, they may be genetically compromised because the Nepean population is small, fragmented, inbred or hybridised. They would have screened out obvious hybrids but other stuff could get through and even some hybrids aren’t obvious at seedling stage.
Thanks for your comments, I'll try and get some better photos in the next couple of days that can show it off a little more. CSIRO got these Camden White Gum seeds from our farm years ago and I actually went down to canberra to pick up these trees up to return them to their natural habitat. I am not experienced at all in taking photos of trees, is there anything you'd like me to photograph in particular that would help with the ID? I can take a tape measure with me?
