Hello NatureMaprs!

We hope you've had a good May so far. The NatureMapr team have been extremely busy with the latest mobile update testing and are excited for its release soon! Other updates that we would like to share with you include:

  • Work to improve measuring and quantifying the overall impact of reported sightings for maps and collections is underway for schools, parkercare groups, landholders and councils.
  • Several minor bugs have been resolved on the website.
  • Did you know you can filter the field guides by invasiveness and conservation level, this feature is useful for showing all the cited pests and endangered species in your region!
  • NatureMapr ACT-based data is now feeding to the newly established Biodiversity Repository managed by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.

I also had the pleasure of attending the Higgins Landcare Open Day where several of our users play a significant role in improving local biodiversity in the forested neighbourhood corridor! Check out their facebook here, if you have a knack for nature and your community it is definitely worth making it out to these events!

From the NatureMapr team, have a great weekend!

Great photo of happy carers, how about we have a page where parkcare groups can upload their group photos, at work or at morning tea.
